Happiness comes from giving to others

SPONSORING PROPER EDUCATION

In many regions situated in highland areas with ethnic minority populations, poverty rates are notably elevated, and most districts and communes face particularly challenging socio-economic circumstances. Some ethnic minority groups exhibit limited awareness and educational requirements. Economic and social progress within these ethnic minority regions is sluggish, with limited job prospects, low incomes, and challenging living conditions, all of which impact the motivation and educational outlook of ethnic minority children.

Geographical and natural characteristics, customs and life of ethnic minorities (festivals, funerals, weddings, farming, production) affect student education opportunity.

Children who are not cared for and educated have many consequences, both immediate and long-term, not only for the children themselves but also for the whole family and society.

Children, often unaware, inadvertently forfeit their own prospects for the future. They are vulnerable to exploitation in the workforce, have limited legal comprehension, and can be easily enticed by negative influences, perpetuating a cycle of poverty due to a lack of education and understanding. This detrimental cycle remains unbroken. Children grow up with limited literacy and intellectual capabilities, resulting in a deficiency of human resources meeting the demands of socio-economic development in ethnic minority and highland regions.

Furthermore, children, especially children in rural and remote areas, are the next generation of agriculture and forestry. Ensuring proper education for children is also ensuring that a sustainable agriculture and forestry industry is built and continues to be inherited and promoted.

Understanding the significance of providing education for children in rural, remote, and ethnic minority areas, the Bamboo Agro Forestry project, in collaboration with associated stakeholders like tree purchasers, businesses, and farmer partners, pledges to allocate a portion of its business earnings to ensure equitable access to education.

The project does not directly carry out its own activities but directly funds professional organizations with supervision and information disclosure to ensure that funding is used for the right purpose, effectively and transparently.

SPONSORING TO REDUCING POVERTY

Bamboo Agro Forestry operates by the philosophy in which you “don't give fish but rather teach how to fish” is the way to support definite escape from poverty

In parallel with sustainable agricultural training activities, for disadvantaged farmers and extremely difficult farmland, the project will lend or sponsor a part of seeds and initial agricultural materials for households to cultivate effectively, and at the same time connect and support the consumption of agricultural products to help farmers feel secure in agricultural cultivation.

When people have income, seeds, and surplus materials, they can continue to support other people to escape poverty. The ability to increase community cohesion, mutual help between farmers and will help form self-sustaining and growing communities practicing sustainable agriculture, where Bamboo Agro Forestry project only needs to ensure the initial foundations are properly set.
